~Giving Tree~ on Commonwealth

Sue Stonebender has graciously placed one of her "Giving Trees" on Commonwealth to allow for more giving opportunities in SL.
"The Giving Tree" is a Kiva.org "micro lending" tool developed by Sue Stonebender. Sue chooses business people to invest in in developing countries. There is an easel under the Giving Tree with a picture of the person currently being invested in with a notecard describing why we are investing in them and a link to Kiva.org where you can learn more.

When you buy a leaf it will glow and your name will appear above it as a tribute and a thank you for your sponsorship. You will also get a picture of the person you sponsored along with a notecard about them and a link to their project.

Please support this innovative SL project by buying a leaf today (250L is the cost of one leaf..which doesn't seem like a lot, but can make a big difference to those who are being offered funds through these programs).
